Northamptonshire has exceptional tourism credentials including Silverstone, the home of British Motorsport; more and better historic houses than any other county in England; renowned centre of men’s world-class footwear; seminal moments in history.
However, this high quality visitor destination is not widely understood. This means that, despite attracting around 20 million visitors each year, Northamptonshire’s economy and the individual Northamptonshire based visitor attractions, hotels, restaurants etc. do not capture the visitors or spend annually that they might.
